Logo Design Brief

We are an acoustic duo - a singer and a guitar player - in need of a logo that we can use for promotion, on our web site and on our CD releases. We call ourselves A&J (our names are Angie and James) so we are seeking a logo that incorporates those initials and the ampersand. I have uploaded a very rough draft that I made, which is just a concept. The final version does not have to match that. However, if it does match my concept, I would like the various segments to be different colors - almost to the point where people, at first, don't see the A&J.
