Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new specialist consulting company named Future Projects Delivered, that specialises in infrastructure mega projects including feasibility and reference design, procurement, government client representation, negotiation and approvals. Most of these projects are Queensland based and are underground (tunnels). in nature including CRR, Airport Link, and Toowoomba Second Range Crossing.

We would like a simple logo that covers our initials FDP and brings in our infrastructure and tunnelling pedigree. I have attached an initial sketch that depicts a cavern for a road tunnel that utilizes the stylized initials of FPD.

The logo should be able to used on invoices, letter heads, email signatures and simple merchandise branding. We would also be looking for the successful designer to undertake a style guide and a landing page for a website that would be in addition to the logo created through this process.

BACKGROUND on Alex
Alex has worked on some of the world’s largest engineering projects, meaning he provides a balance of global knowledge with local insights gained through his delivery in a Queensland context.
Alex has worked on multiple Queensland major projects that have involved interactive tendering, multiple procurement pathways, obtained planning and other approvals, supported the acquisition of land processes, and stakeholder interactions. Alex is well-known throughout the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Queensland Rail (QR) organisations and maintains strong working relationships with the Officer of the Coordinator General (OCG), Treasury, QFES, and several local government authorities.
Alex has worked as a client technical advisor, procurement advisor and in the tendering and delivery of major D&C and PPP projects. His involvement has extended over numerous phases of project delivery that extends to design, planning, procurement, and construction of major projects. He has also represented the State of Queensland as the Technical Lead for Cross River Rail, Toowoomba Second Range Crossing and the Airport Link, Northern Busway and Airport Roundabout Upgrade projects. These roles have required Alex to directly negotiate the technical specifications with Proponents, manage the delivery of project outcomes, and develop robust reference designs suitable for procurement.
