Logo Design Brief

Please design a business logo for my Australian mineral exploration company - Rix Prospecting Pty Ltd. I’m feeling something earthy regarding the design, but I’ll leave that in your collective and capable design hands. I'd like the logo to be appropriate, simple and distinctive. The logo at this stage will primarily be used on business cards, email signature blocks and some merchandise. I'd like the logo to be unique while remaining nuanced from fellow exploration companies. The logo text needs to be legible. I'd like a vector design to allow for correct scaling. Logo lines to please be sharp and smooth. I'd like the logo to appear balanced. I'd also like the logo to appear sharp on a dark or patterned background. Thanks.
