Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a company that is being 'rebranded' based in the UK. We are Continuous Improvement Specialists (Kaizen, Six Sigma etc.) that support large businesses in improvement initiatives, consulting, and training. The new name is "Syniad" which means 'Idea' in Welsh and also represents our core values which is a synergistic (syn) approach to improvement (i), adapting to customer needs (a), and development of people (d). We teach people and organisations to be better problem solvers or do problem solving project management work ourselves.

We would ideally like the colour to be darker (dark blue, black, dark red etc.) and communicate a professional company that also reflects on the word Syniad, continuous improvement, or the core values stated above. We work with a variety of industries so shouldn't be limited to 'manufacturing' style logos.

The main praise we receive is how we make complex concepts simple and have a huge passion for continuous improvement that then inspires other people. We get people looking at things in a different and innovative way which in turn makes it easy for them to follow.

I'm open to various ideas as I am not entirely sure what I am looking for, but I will know when I see it!

Requirements

Must have

• 'Syniad' to be clearly legible.

Nice to have

• "Continuous Improvement" (underneath perhaps). Any graphics to be 'connected' to the overall design, I.e. it wraps or overlaps into the text so it looks like one whole image rather than text just next to a graphic.

Should not have

• Explicit reference to "Kaizen" or "Six Sigma". Should not be 'cartoony'. No rockets. No mixing of letter cases (i.e. no lower case letters in the middle of all upper case - we are happy with capital letter start and then lower case, or all 1 case however).
