Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a logo design for a new excavation and grading company based in Contra Costa County located in the San Francisco Bay area. The logo will be placed prominently on the door of a Peterbilt mdl 386, (See Pictures) The Logo Colors should compliment the silver/black color of the truck (ie; powder blue, yellow, red/maroon. I would like to see Lettermark, Abstract and Emblem designs. The logo should be easy to read and recognizable from a long distance, modern, and communicate competency and success, with an eye towards the future.
I have inserted picture of what I've been able to do on my own. I am not enthused with any of what I've done on my own. I like parts of each but not the overall feel...I'm hoping for something more professional.
