Tattoo Design Brief

My family is an offshoot of the MacFarlane clan (google it). I want a tattoo based on the "This I'll defend" crest. I have some idea already, as per the photos attached. Ideally, I would like the encircling belt to look like a brown belt. I want the savage warrior to have his arm raised, and not blocking any of the lettering. I would like the lettering to be bold. I would like the scroll with "LOCK SLOY" to fit in somewhere. I want the tartan from Sample 1 and Sample 4 (they are the modern MacFarlane tartan as the background WITHIN the belt (not on the belt, and not outside it - example is Sample 2). The hand drawn picture from Sample 5 has a fairly close idea of what I was aiming for, but is my own terrible artwork trying to copy the other designs. The actual tattoo from Sample 3 shows what could be done if I settled for just black ink in all but the tartan - I am open to that, if the design is amazing, and there is just no way to make the belt look like leather. Ultimately, Sample 1, with a raised arm, not obscuring the words, turned into the tattoo in Sample 3, but better, would be the low bar for acceptance.
