Logo Design Brief

Need a logo for our new boat. The boat is going to be named "Southern Resident" and be moored in Port Ludlow, WA (on the Puget Sound). We chose this name for two reasons. First, my wife (a native Washingtonian) and I are huge fans of the Orcas here and they are referred to as "the Southern Residents". Second, I relocated from Georgia to Seattle and spent my life as a "southern resident". We'd like a logo that ties these two together. We prefer simplicity and not "cartoonish". I've attached a logo that was AI generated that is on the right track. I've also attached the boats manufacturer so you can see the font they use (Cutwater). The boat will be dark grey and white- thinking a moncromatic design.
