Logo Design Brief

Looking for an updated Logo for my Vacation Rental and Property Management business (Airbnbs). Attached is the original logo, but the circle design doesn't look good in most online images since they are usually a circle bubble.
Looking for simple logo, but with more of a connection to what we do in the design. My primary rental guests are families, and I have a lot of waterfront rental homes (lakes and canals, not oceans -yet). Key words for my mission are family, vacation, relax, connect, memories, water, amenities, home away from home. Looking for simple design that flows, easy on the eyes, memorable, warmth, relaxing, or inspiring.
Not interested in overdoing the "Pirate" piece - but open to ideas that have a small indication of that.
Color pallette is blues.
