Logo Design Brief

We are looking for someone to create the logo for a new restaurant on Mackinac Island called "The Straits". It is a modern American restaurant with unbelievable views of the Mackinac straits. The Chef is a Michelin-caliber Chef that will cook approachable yet absolutely delicious food, in a cozy, outdoor atmosphere. We need the logo to reflect this style -- sophisticated, yet approachable. It needs to have a timeless feel. And it should include the Mackinac Bridge and the water, much like the logo for The Inn at Stonecliffe does.

The restaurant is located inside an old mansion that was built in 1904. It has a lot of charm and personality.
