Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a science fiction and popular culture retail store. There will also be an online store as well.
The business's name is The Docking Bay, in reference to Mos Eisley docking bay 94 in Star Wars.
Ideas can be to have the name inside a 3d rendering of a "docking Bay". Or perhaps framed by the opening of a docking bay on the death star, or the mouth of the launch bay on the Battlestar Galactica. Another idea is the tube lights of the launch tube on Galactica.

ANYTHING identifiable as belonging to the world of SCIENCE FICTION will be seriously considered.

It should be eye catching and, if possible, simple.
The perfect logo would look good on a T- Shirt ...perhaps ; ). Also, the option of interchangeable background colors (black and white) would be a plus.

Must have

• A "star wars" or sci-fi esque font is preferable....but not 100% essential.
  
  The name "The Docking Bay" to be prominent and "Sci-Fi Collectibles to be less so
  
  Colors that have impact and are connected to the sci-fi world..ie, colors from the Dr Who opening titles or color themes in Star Wars or the Red, grey black theme in the new Battle Star Galactica.
  
  Something that a Sci-Fi fan would look at and go, "yeah, I recognize that..cool"

• Cute robots, random dots and abstract squares and "Dynamic Ribbons" kind of things.
