Logo Design Brief
We're due to be opening a shop in the near future and we need a logo designing. We'll also probably need some other design work doing but the logo is the first step!
The shop will be a dark, moody, magical fantasy themed bakery - selling cookies, brownies, cakes and all that good stuff! We're basically thinking "if Disney, Wonka and Harry Potter had a bakery... this is how it would look".
Colour wise we're looking at a gold lettering on a dark grey background with possible dark blue / dark purple accent colours.
A Victorian / vintage kind of style but still has a modernity / simplicity that the logo could be used on other merchandise or embroidered. "Enchants", "Against" and "Sunroll" are pretty good examples of fonts that has a vintage vibe without being overly fussy.
Whilst it's a magical theme, it's not childish or playful. As a theme we're open to subtle dragon details but not obvious dragons. No rabbits in hats, wizard hats, skulls, devils/horned goats or black cats please. It's a magical theme not a magic shop!
The logo needs to work in both horizontal and portrait formats. Ideally it needs some sort of stand alone icon along with the name/text.
Winning designer MUST be able to supply the logo in .ai / .eps formats with any font names used.

Hello Designers!
Thank you for your logo submissions... there are a few good ideas but the majority aren't really hitting the mark I'm afraid. I'm not seeing much in the way of vintage / Victorian styling - I've added quite a few examples of work we like, so it would be great to see more like that.
The word absolutely has to be Snickerwoodles - NOT Snicker Woodles. It cannot be split.
At the moment, there's not really a logo that I love. There are a few that are decent but not really making me excited. I think this is largely because so far, they're either a bit basic OR they focus on baking items (whisks, cupcakes, bread) which are not part of the brief. Also, the dragon side of things should be subtle NOT obviously a dragon. There are way too many logos with very obvious dragons - the brief specifically stated SUBTLE dragon imagery.
Sorry to be a bit negative - hopefully this will help. Please ask if you have any questions.
Thanks :)
