Book Cover Design Brief
I need a full cover (front, spine, and back) for a mystery set in the mountains, involving sabotage (explosions) at mining sites. The "hero" is a private investigator from the foothills of Alberta (think ranch country) who travels to the mountains and is embroiled in the investigation. His "sidekick" is his black F150. I'd like a sense of suspense and danger on the cover, perhaps the hero leaning on his truck (?) but no front face view so readers can imagine the hero their own way. Current cover is uploaded below. I think it may not convey "Mystery and Private Investigator" enough. Front Cover should have title: The End Game; subtitle: A Gabrieli Mystery; and Author name: Charlotte Morganti. I can supply back cover copy etc later.

After one designer asked for more detail I realized my brief was probably not that helpful to designers. So I have expanded the brief to give designers more information that might help them come up with ideas. I have added the extra information as a document attached to the brief. Thanks so much to everyone who is submitting - and I apologize for not providing sufficient info at the beginninng.
