Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for our intelligence team onboard the the Aircraft Carrier John F Kennedy that is still being built. I have a logo that I really like (attached), I would just like to edit it to to our specifications. The specs are in the attached document.
I want to memorialize the Torpedo Patrol Boat that John F. Kennedy served on while in the Navy. He served on PT(109), and a Japanese ship ran it over and Kennedy saved his crew by swimming to an island and eventually getting help. The logo for the team will have JFK on top, a picture of PT 109 (the torpedo boat he served on) and then below it will say Intel Dept. The graphic example I have is close to what I want, and the boat displayed is close to looking like the torpedo boat JFK was on, but not quite. I have examples of what the boat should look like.
