Logo Design Brief
Need a logo for my video arcade museum and private club named "Otto's" The building design where the arcade is located is leaning toward some combination of mid-century modern and 70s/80s. The sign out on the front of the building will likely use Carosello or similar font, so would be good to use that in logo. The name of the place is after a video game villain called "Evil Otto" from the 80s game Berzerk, so the logo could include a smiley face ala the game. Open to all cool designs, though!

Hey everyone! I appreciate all of the designs you've been sending in - some are great, some could use a little work. I guess my main feedbacks tend to be:
a) We're going for a style called "mid-century modern" - which you could kinda-sorta call a "retro-futuristic" look that was popular in the US in the 60s and 70s. If you're not familiar, I would google it to get a great idea. The font that I selected (Carosello) reflects that style, and I'm hoping for designs that leverage/amplify it.
b) A bunch of folks took my guidance on the smiley-face villain a little too much to heart. We don't want anything that looks highly pixelated, like low-res graphics from the 80s -- think more about transporting the games and styles of the late 70s/early 80s back to the mid-60s and making them futuristic (ala mid-century modern).
c) If we're going to use a smiley face (which isn't required here) we don't want it to be pixelated or a poor-looking emoji. I uploaded some odd AI-generated smiley face logos that I was playing around with that I think are kinda cooler (though likely the overall logos those faces are in are too complex for most uses). Take a look, see what you think.
I'm doing my best to provide feedback - apologize if it isn't hugely specific at times. I'll try to do better, and hoping for more designs and iterations. We're extending the project and looking for greatness!
