Logo Design Brief
Hello! My family built a plantation house in 1857 with land granted from King George. It has been passed down in my family and has served as a primary home since then. My dad passed away a 2 years ago and I have to find a way to generate money to maintain the place. I currently lease out the farmland, so that helps but it isn't near enough. The community is very close knit where everyone knows everyone's grandparents and ever further back. They help me look after the place since it is about 1.5 hours away. The whole area is called "Dabbs Crossroads" since every road you went down, there was a Dabbs family member that lived there.
I have come to the conclusion that my best path forward is to create a wedding venue (now), possibly Fall and Spring Festivals etc., and concert pavilion (eventually) in the areas that used to be the barn yard and grain bin area.
I need a logo (for a business sign, business card, letter head, merchandise, etc.) that is instantly recognizable as my business (yes, I know a lot of that comes with time).
I want something simple and clean enough that you would want to wear on a shirt or a hat because it looks that good. A deep green or black would be good. There is also a color locally known as "Charleston Green" because is essentially black with a few drops of green in it. I am open to all colors though.
We have many old Live Oaks; the house is on the historic registry (if you Google it, it will come up) and is near the Black River Swamp. The house's formal name is Rip Raps Plantation. I am considering renaming it to Rip Raps Estate since it has been passed down through the family is their "estate" and I would like the logo to include if possible. It is extremely quiet and peaceful on the property that is surrounded by an additional 400+ (including fields for farming and a slow-moving swamp with lots of Cypress trees).
I would like to avoid using the house alone as a logo because I want to avoid the link to slavery. That being said, I would not reject any design simply based on the fact that a design includes the facade of the house in some way.
I had some good ideas, but they are not polished. I have attached them below. I also included a picture of the house, a map of the property that my father drew, and the picnic pavilion (that is similar, but not exact) where receptions (and maybe a wedding) would be held, a picture of the iron gate at the entrance to the property, and three logos I put together with clip art (I need a much better live oak with spanish moss, I missed the mark on that one).

Requirements
Must have
- At least the name "Rip Raps" called out. It could be Rips Raps, Rip Raps Plantation, or Rip Raps Estate
Nice to have
- I would like to see an oak tree or trees, and/or a gate, maybe a farm theme (not animals more so farm structures) incorporated in some way. Something inside a circle sounds nice but am very open to not having one as well.
Should not have
- Only a house as the primary logo
