Logo Design Brief
We're a bootstrapped startup, on the Mississippi in Burlington, Iowa. We want to be in the liquor business without all the red tape. How will we do that?
We need a kick-butt logo that represents the GetShitfaced.com brand. We're leading with the brand, with the intention of crowdsourcing an existing craft distiller as our partner.
We own the following, domains, so want the design language to be somewhat portable between products:
Domain Names for branding:
drinkshitfaced.com
getshitfaced.com
shitfacedalcohol.com
shitfacedbeer.com
shitfacedbeverages.com
shitfacedbourbon.com
shitfacedbrands.com
shitfacedbrew.com
shitfacedcider.com
shitfacedlibations.com
shitfacedliquor.com
shitfacedliquors.com
shitfacednonalcoholic.com
shitfacedrum.com
shitfacedscotch.com
shitfacedtequila.com
shitfacedvodka.com
shitfacedwhiskey.com
shitfacedwine.com
shitfacedwines.com
To do so, we need something impactful, engaging, fun, spirited, classic, timeless, and distinctive. We're from Portland, Oregon, so we've had a bunch of hipster designs thrown our way. We're looking fort something truly awesome and inspiring.
We're hoping to have broad market engagement. But we're totally cool with a specific and focused market adoption that becomes the catalyst for something much greater downstream.
We plan to do a campaign to engage the right distiller(s) to play with. We have some interesting connections in the industry that "may" prove useful moving forward.
I used to be a graphic designer, and have created hundreds of logos over the years. But have not touched it since 2012. So I'm open to anything that resonates.
It needs to be a logo that works well on a bottle label.
Works awesome on shirts and merch.
And isn't so trendy that it feels dated by next summer.
Would ultimately love a relationship with an artist who is more than a one hit wonder. You know who you are...;-) - as we own a dozen domains around the brand, each representing a distinctive kind of liquor/spirits).
Hit me with any questions or insights. Let's make some magic!
Target Market(s)

Font styles to use
Other font styles liked:
- Using positive and negative space, can the final logo possibly form a face, if you look at it right? A novel looking font selection (I use Helvetica Neu in just about everything, because it's boring and has plenty of weights. Surprise me, please!)

Requirements
Must have
- Just awesome identity, work well as a label, and works in monochrome as well as color.
Nice to have
- I swear I've looked at 1,000 whiskey labels. I know I don't want a cartoon. It should be classic and worth a double-take when it's on the shelf.
Should not have
- A guy with crossed eyes. A cartoon character with crossed eyes.
