Logo Design Brief

I'm looking for a logo for a publishing imprint that can look attractive when about an inch or two in size (for a website and social media) but also include a smaller, simplified version that could be printed on the spine of a book. I don't want the name "Hidden Brook" or HB to be incorporated (the only exception being if HB could be subtle). It needs to work as a black & white and a color design. Obviously a creek should be incorporated - not a river - but a small creek that winds. This should not include mountains or animals since it is supposed to represent an area in the midwest where there aren't mountains (animals is just a preference to not have). I would like birch trees to be incorporated. The tone and feel should be peaceful and serene, not overly modern or corporate-looking. Please model the style after the images uploaded - for the birch and the river and trees.
