Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my new company Mettleworks Ltd.
My company provides engineering design and project delivery services to the petrochemical and industrial sectors, with a specific emphasis on safety and operational excellence.
I don't want the predictable images of gears, cogs, hammer, anvil, set squares, ruler, drawing compass, pencil, etc.
The colours blue and green appeal to me.
I have attached an example of a logo I started playing around with but open to completely different ideas too.
A possibility is to include the following tag line with the logo "Delivering safe and operationally excellent engineering solutions to your bottom line".

Target Market(s)

Target market is New Zealand & Australia.
Recipients will typically be male, 40 - 60 year old, managers.
