Logo Design Brief

I’m creating custom urethane dumbbells (5–100 lb range) for my boutique training gym and private sales. These dumbbells will feature a unique logo design that reflects my brand: Ash Allen Training — a performance-driven personal training company specializing in mountain athletes, endurance training, and strength development.

The design must be:
• Bold, clean, and professional (not cartoonish).
• Optimized for laser engraving or embossing on round urethane dumbbell heads.
• Circular in layout (fits within the end of the dumbbell).
• Able to scale clearly from small (5 lb) to large (100 lb) heads.
• A strong nod to the mountain athlete / endurance niche (mountain shapes, peaks, ice axe, skis, or subtle alpine inspiration).
• Designed in black/white with optional minimal color accents (blue/orange highlights) for brand flexibility.

These dumbbells will feature in my gym and be sold privately, so the design should feel premium and stand out compared to mass-market equipment. Think of brands like Rogue, Eleiko, or Dynafit — clean lines, strong edges, and professional outdoor-athlete energy.

This will also be my logo used on other merch and advertising.

Must have

• • Circular design that fits cleanly on the end of urethane dumbbell heads (5–100 lb). • Bold, professional lines that are easily legible when laser-engraved or molded. • Logo options with both full text “Ash Allen Training” and minimal monogram “AAT.” • Mountain / endurance sport inspiration (e.g., peaks, alpine lines, or subtle gear references like skis/ice axe).

Nice to have

• Clever use of negative space to create a mountain “A” shape. • Alternate emblem version that can be used as a favicon or apparel print. • Minimal accent color (Dynafit blue) applied in a subtle highlight, not overpowering. • A strong but sleek vibe that works across gym equipment, apparel, and digital branding.

Should not have

• Overly busy or detailed designs that won’t scale well. • Cartoonish or playful styles — must stay premium, clean, and performance-driven. • Gradients, soft shading, or weak lines (design must be crisp for engraving/printing). • Overuse of color — black/white should dominate with only minimal Dynafit blue accents.
