Logo Design Brief

Grapplr.AI is a social training and analytics platform for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). The app combines training logs, AI-powered insights, and community features to help practitioners track progress, connect with teammates, and improve faster.

Target Audience:

BJJ athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts (18–45)

Tech-comfortable martial artists and fitness communities

Gyms and teams who want to track training

Design Goals:

A modern, strong, and clean logo that reflects both martial arts discipline and cutting-edge AI technology.

Must look excellent on mobile devices since Grapplr.AI is primarily an app.

The icon should be memorable, simple, and instantly recognizable — working as an app icon as well as part of the full logo.

Capture a balance between grappling/BJJ themes (connection, grips, movement) and AI/data themes (digital, futuristic, smart).

Style Preferences:

Minimalist & geometric design with strength and clarity.

Icon + Wordmark: should work both together and separately.

Icon should be suitable for mobile app icon use (square format, bold shapes, no excessive detail).

Avoid clichés (cartoon fighters, fists, skulls).

Color Palette (match app UI):

Primary Backgrounds: Black / charcoal gray (#0D0D0D – #1C1C1C range)

Primary Accents: Electric blue (#3B82F6) and Teal (#06B6D4)

Highlight/Action: Vibrant Red (#EF4444)

Text/Neutral: White and Light Gray (#F9FAFB, #9CA3AF)

Logo/icon must also work in monochrome/white for overlays.

Imagery / Symbol Ideas:

Interlocking or abstract shapes that suggest grappling grips or leverage.

A stylized “G” or belt knot that also feels tech-driven.

Abstract AI/data node patterns woven into the symbol.

Motion arcs or dynamic geometry to suggest energy and flow.
