Character Design Brief

My online children's boutique is named after my dogs, Molly & Bear. I have had this vision of Bear (big black dog) wearing round frame glasses and a bow tie like a distinguished gentleman and Molly (black and white, medium dog) with a cute hair bow like a playful pup. I would like the design to be simple and the dogs very teddy-bear like. Eventually the plan is to turn them into children 's book characters. I am attaching my logo for design feel and some pictures of the dogs.
