Escape Room Company Instagram Walls for New Shop Front

  • Open - Needs Designs

Poster Design Brief

Project Overview
We are opening a new escape room in Cape Town and require a series of bold, Instagrammable murals to be installed on the front-facing windows of our shop. The murals should double as interactive photo backdrops — encouraging visitors and players to stand in front of them, become part of the scene, and share their photos on social media.
The overall style should be vibrant, bold, and comic/pop-art inspired, Street Art Grafitti options with strong outlines, halftone patterns, maybe speech bubbles. Designs should be eye-catching to passersby while also providing clear opportunities for both individuals and groups (2–6 players) to pose within the artwork.
Objectives
Attract attention from the street and create a strong first impression.
Provide playful, interactive photo opportunities that guests will want to share.
Reflect the themes of our three games while maintaining a consistent brand style.
Encourage organic marketing through social media sharing (each mural should include a small hashtag and logo in one corner).
Game-Themed Murals
1. Taken (Kidnap Cellar Theme)
A chained cellar door with large padlocks.
Painted chains extend outward but stop at gaps where players stand, so they appear shackled.
Comic speech bubbles with text like “HELP!”, “LET ME OUT!”, “Not today, kidnappers!”.
Group option: multiple chained silhouettes, with empty spaces left for players to complete the lineup.
2. Prison Break (Lineup Theme)
Inspired by The Usual Suspects.
A comic-style height chart (3ft–7ft) with five painted shadows as suspects.
Players step into the gaps to complete the lineup.
Optional comic speech bubbles: “It wasn’t me!”, “I was framed!”, “I want my lawyer!”.
Works best for group photos (up to 5 players).
3. Last Stop Ravine (Runaway Train Theme)
A runaway train racing toward a broken bridge over a ravine.
A missing brake lever spot where players stand and pose as though they’re pulling it to stop the train.
Alternative/group version: tracks running toward the ravine where players can stand “on the tracks.”
Speech bubbles: “Stop the Train!”, “We can’t make it!”.
Additional Optional Murals (Non-Game Specific)
Escape wings (angel/demon/prison wings with a grungy twist).
A comic explosion panel with “POW!” or “BOOM!” where guests stand inside the action.
A giant keyhole where people pose as if they’re “the key to escape.”
A giant clock face with painted hands that players can appear to hold back.
Design Requirements
Style: Comic book / Pop art (bold outlines, bright colors, halftone shading).
Interactive Spaces: Clearly marked with “Stand Here” guides so players know where to pose.
Branding: Each mural should discreetly include our escape room logo and campaign hashtag.
Durability: Artwork should withstand direct sunlight and outdoor exposure.
Deliverables
Three primary game-themed mural designs (Taken, Prison Break, Last Stop Ravine).
Optional bonus designs for generic interactive Instagram walls.
Print-ready artwork scaled to shop window sizes (exact dimensions to be provided).
