Apparel Design Brief

I’m developing a sleeveless, tank-style top that still has the utility of a hoodie. The garment must include:
• a standard hood
• kangaroo-style pockets on both the front and rear panels - front pocket to have a "hidden" pocket accessed from the top of the front panel only, approx 8cm wide and 17cm deep - not to be "dangling" inside the front pocket, but stitched into the shirt rather than the front pocket
• space on the chest for my logo, plus large logo on the back, which I want printed in vinyl DTG

This project is a prototype for potentially a bigger project in the future, creating a line of practical clothing for the dog sports enthusiasts - suitable for streetwear and training.

Fabric requirements are critical. I need a rip-stop material that resists pet hair, stains, and—ideally—offers sun-smart protection. If you already know a supplier for this specialty fabric, let me know in your proposal.

Scope of work
1. Create a production-ready pattern and tech pack for the shirt, covering stitching, pocket placement, and hood construction.
2. Recommend suitable rip-stop fabric options that meet the non-stick, stain-resistant, and sun-protective criteria.
3. Prepare print specs for my logo so it can be sent straight to a DTG printer.
4. (Optional but appreciated) Provide guidance on a small test run or a single stitched sample to confirm fit and finish.

I’ll supply the logo file and any sizing information you need as soon as we start. I’m aiming for a straightforward, functional design, so clear communication and fast turnaround will stand out to me.
