Illustration Design Brief
I'm the creator of Rushing Waters (LikeRushingWaters.com) - a Christian lifestyle brand selling books, devotionals, tools, cards and games! I love what I do.
I've created bible character cards for kids ages 7-17 yrs old, and need an illustrator to make each character card that aligns with my current brand at LikeRushingWaters.com. Attached is a pinterest board for the brand for inspiration: https://pin.it/7FslJMsJP (https://www.pinterest.com/jenhadden1/rushing-waters-inspo/). Attached is also some cards from a free website -- these are too caricature/cartoony for very young kids and I can't use these anyway since they are owned by someone else, but it gives you an idea of the card characters. I need someone to draw the bible character on each card, and integrate the right biblical context into the background of the card. I have the text and verses for each card. E.g. Deborah: prophetess, judge, leader who felt courageous in the prophecies of God. Israelites were victorious against their enemies. She and Barak sang to God. Judges 4:1-5:31
Adam: Name is the Hebrew word for humanity. Disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit. Genesis 3:7 NLT "At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves."
I don't yet know what I'll call the Bible Character Cards. Yet you can check out the Triple H Cards on my website for continuity / vibes.
Target Market(s)
Christian Parents, Pastors, Counselors and Teachers of kids ages 7-17yrs and church youth groups. I envision these used as a study tool to learn bible characters and how they used emotions to unlock a brighter future, but also by teenagers in a heads up game: where you put a card on your forehead without looking at it, and you have to guess what character it is by asking others yes or no questions.

Requirements
Must have
- Colorful, memorable imagery. "Instagram-worthy" design appeal. Aligned to more historical context since these are teaching tools. See https://www.youtube.com/@bibleproject
Nice to have
- Characters should reflect their actual ethnicity of middle eastern (not the white Jesus with blonde hair versions:)) and historical context in place (see The Bible Project on Youtube for these character depictions. For example. Deborah has a regal look but yet is more of a military and political leader with perhaps a sword on her side)
Should not have
- vulgar imagery. It can't feel too kiddish and Jesus Freak-like, but it also can't have indecent character vibes!
