Logo Design Brief
We are the Institute of Registered Music Teachers of New Zealand (IRMTNZ). Our members are located throughout New Zealand and teach a wide range of music subjects and genres eg piano, strings, flute, jazz, classical, composition, theory. Our Vision is "to cultivate a flourishing, active and diverse community of music educators dedicated to excellence through the transformative power of music". We like the colour green .

Thanks to everyone who submitted designs for our project. Unfortunately most weren't close to what we need so here are a few pointers to help you understand our preferences:
Simple, uncluttered designs work best for us
The design needs to have a musical reference - a single note can work well. Avoid using the treble clef as this doesn't adequately represent all music (there are several other clefs).
A design that has 'IRMTNZ' and a graphic that can work together or be separated is more flexible for our needs
Don't use a map of New Zealand, kiwi or fern leaf - these are used by many other organisations/businesses and the NZ in our title is sufficient to show our national identity.
Don't use a mortar board hat - we are not a university.
Green is our preferred colour.
