Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new church based in Hobart Tasmania, called 'New Life Anglican Church'. We are a church that includes young families and children and are looking to welcome new people. Our vision is "To be a thriving church in the Jordan River Valley, where people find community, discover new life in Jesus, grow in faith and share his hope." Our values are as follows: we love God and others, we seek God together, we welcome as Jesus does, we forgive as God forgives, we are generous and we want to be more like Jesus."

Our logo definitely needs to include our name "New Life Anglican Church" and a cross, and want it to include symbols of 'new life' including water/river and/or rays from the sun. Importantly we don't want a circle around the rest of the graphic because we want to be open to people joining us.

We're looking a designed who works in vectors, with versatile formatting knowledge because this logo will go on videos, websites and print materials. As such we need CMYK files, RGB files and transparent PNGs. We also need a logo that is recognisable whether it's in full colour on a website or printed in a single-colour on a letterhead. As the logo will be on signs, we need a designer with a strong eye for fonts so that the text is easily readable from a distance on a banner or at a glance in an email signature. In addition we're also looking for a Brand Style Guide so that we can connect the design to the design on our website.
