Logo Design for Research Study Rebrand
Logo Design Brief
We are a research group at the University of Calgary that has been conducting a study for the past six years on the effects of pandemic-related stress on child development. We are rebranding from "Pregnancy during the Pandemic" to "Promoting Development Post-pandemic" to better reflect its current focus on child development. Since we have been following the same participants throughout the study, we would like to maintain some continuity with our original branding.
We have attached our original logo, along with two new logo concepts that we like. We are looking for an updated logo that:
- Maintains some visual continuity and a similar feel to the original logo to preserve brand recognition, while reflecting the new direction of the study.
- Keeps the simple, clean style of the original logo.
- Incorporates the concept of the two new logos, but with a simpler design
(we’re also happy to see some options that don’t incorporate these designs)
- Places the study name beside the logo, similar to the original layout.
- Moves away from the pink colour palette. We are happy to keep blue (perhaps in a slightly brighter shade), as we'd like the logo to feel more child-friendly and appealing.
Our study is offered in English and French and we would like the ability to have one, both or no study name beside it. We also often shorten the study name to PdP and PDP.
English: Promoting Development Post-pandemic
French: Promouvoir le développement post-pandémie
Thank you!
