For what purpose will the image be used?

Is there a prefered skin color for the soldier?

Should there be "pain" in the face of the soldier or may the face be covered/turned away from the camera?

Size should be around 4 inches x 4 inches and a high resolution 300 dpi if possible.

The main purpose of this image is going to be used as a logo but I wanted to make sure it is has a high enough resolution that I can use it on a larger scale of needed.

Skin colors should be the same as a Caucasian male.

I would like to have the face pointed towards the camera while looking down the sights of the weapon. The expression on the face should be sort of a stern or serious face.

I am sorry I should have put this information into the description. This is my first time out sourcing to get a logo made so please bare with me.

The first images to "cartoony" but the soldier on the Battlefield 3 cover would be amazing if someone could do something like that with the specification that I asked for.

I am not sure what type of graphic it is called but that type of artwork would be acceptable as well. I really like the photo graphical artwork like the Battlefield 3 cover but it seems to me that would very difficult to do but I am no expert.

It depends on what you would like to do with the artwork.

If you want to produce posters, postcards, shirts, stickers ... that means print it on everything where you could print a "normal" photo on, then a photographical artwork like BF3 works fine ....

If you want to produce knitted badges like

or print it in a really small size (like on a pen) you need a clear and reduced vector graphic with less details like (http://www.usmilitary.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Army_National_Guard_logo-300x300.gif)

Mostly the artwork will be online but eventually I might want to put it on a sticker or shirt. I really do not foresee a need to make into a knitted badge or have it printed on anything in a very small scale.

Just 3 last questions:

- any preferences for the uniform (helmet? desert, jungle or urban camouflage?)
- any preferences for the set/backplate where the soldier knees? (desert, urban, nature, clear white or dark space)
- should there be any text on the artwork

For the uniform itself I originally wanted the uniform to be the Army ACU pattern.

But after seeing the BF3 cover I am kind of leaning more towards that type of uniform.

As for the head gear I am not stuck on one specific thing but I do know I want something on the soldiers head, either a helmet or an army hat.

The stance of the soldier should resemble this image if possible.

If you could please do not put any backplate or background on the image. I want to be able to change it if needed for different applications.

No text needs to be included in the artwork.

I know that the answers to the first question was sort of vague and I am sorry. For the uniform pattern and headgear I will let you decide what you think looks best based on the options I made.
