Logo Design Brief

Background

The Teaching Awards is a UK charity which highlights excellence in education by identifying and celebrating exceptional teachers who are achieving outstanding results, often in the most challenging circumstances. The Awards ceremony is filmed and broadcast by the BBC

Task Description

We are looking for a new logo design which reflects the prestigious nature of this award programme but which can also appeal to a wider audience as highlighted below. Our current logo (see attached JPEG) has been a fantastic image used across the organisation, including the design for the ‘physical trophy’ handed out to award winners at ceremonies.

We would like the new logo to have a similar feel, not too intricate or fussy but something which is sophisticated and simple with a gravitas that supports the importance of the vital work our award winning teachers do and the impact this has on the wider community, as well as mirroring the integrity and high profile nature of the awards programme in conjunction with the BBC.
Target audience

The Teaching Awards primary aim is to promote positive stories in education to the wider public but it is also an organisation which serves schools, parents, teachers and students so will need to have a wide and appeal which engages with a diverse audience from the UK.
