Logo Design Brief
We need a main logo for our new company 'Persuasion Engines'.
We have developed an innovative approach to understanding the reasons behind people's buying behaviours. We employ a private web-based-panel of 6000 people and ask them questions about their values, beliefs and motivations, in order that we can place their buying behaviours in the context of how *they* see their world and their place in it.
Providing this information to marketers, advertisers, designers and charities, enables those organisations to include the world-view of the person, at the centre of their own work.
At it's most basic, we have created 7 'PSYCHE' Types (7 values-sets that people exhibit, independent of their age, income, gender...).
e.g. it's not just a female consumer, married with kids, middle-income, living in a big house....
It becomes all the above plus "she's an Experimentalist [one of our '7 PSYCHE' types], first to try new products, ideas, services, and first to get bored of them if they don't meet her needs straight away."
Or, female etc. as above but plus "she's a Belonger [another of our 7 'PSYCHE' types]; if her friends don't already do it, she won't do it either, until someone she values says it's a good idea, product...."
They both might buy your product (eventually) but the second one won't until the first one has *and* hasn't got bored with it.
So two very different people, who just happen also to share being female, married with kids....

We take our research and thru a SaaS platform (in development) will provide direct access to the research, for advertisers, creatives etc. to map how their products fit (or don't) with the people ho might buy them.

The purpose of the Persuasion Engines logo is two-fold.
1) It will be the corporate logo;
2) It also represents the underlying technology, as in "powered by persuasion engines" or "powered by the persuasion engine".
A second variant is also required called "Giving Engine". This version is a special version of the technology which is oriented towards charities, and the reasons behind giving to charity (rather than buying products.
Further 'engines' are envisaged, but not yet planned, so the Persuasion Engines/Giving Engine logo(s) will have to be something that can 'scale' to further engines in time, relating media, autos, finance...

**Not** in the current brief is a logo for PSYCHE and visuals for the seven PSYCHE types. Once the logo(s) are completed, this brief will be given to the successful designer of persuasion engines.

- The words 'persuasion' and 'giving' are human; the word Engine suggests a mechanical/automated process. The logo must be able to convey both human-led insight and thought about people, plus the idea that once the human stuff has been done, there is a clever, sophisticated engine/algorithms.... that make it all work automatically, just as - having learned to drive, you expect your car to just 'work'.
