Logo Design Brief

TapSavvy makes restaurants SMARTER.

Table service restaurants leverage our beautifully designed (and multi-touch enabled) point-of-sales hardware to handle transactions, and manage their information through our rich web application to make MORE INFORMED DECISIONS.

Creative restauranteurs can spend less time crunching numbers and more time CONNECTING WITH CUSTOMERS and delivering AMAZING EXPERIENCES.

^^That is our company's vision in a nutshell. We're looking for a versatile logo that can work for our website, business cards, and possibly even be engraved on our hardware. Though we sell to businesses, our target customers are creative, trendy restaurants which pride themselves on delivering first class experiences.

We don't have a style guide yet, however existing designs have been largely monochromatic (black, white and light grey). We are interested in adding a red or blue to our brand's style (though this is not necessarily a requirement for the logo).

"TAP" in our name carries several meanings:
-The User Experience on our hardware is multi-touch centric.
-Customers can tap their phones to pay.
-Our customers have amazing experiences "on tap" (the way some might have amazing beer "on tap")

I hope I've shared enough of our vision and inspiration to inspire you as well! Please take everything mentioned above as guidance rather than hard requirements (last thing I want to do is hinder the creative process by inviting designs that try to do everything).

  After having seen many designs with a "hand" or "finger pointing" in the logo, we have decided that this overly explicit and narrow interpretation of the word "Tap" is not what we are looking for as it restricts the imagination and other possible interpretations.
