What yogendra means is that you could Guarantee the project award.

So what guaranteeing a project means?
It simply means that you are committed to choosing a design provided at DesignCrowd.
It means that if you like a design, you will award that design the content prize.


Why is this important for designers?
It shows that the project owner is committed to the contest
It assures the designers that the contest holder won’t steal their ideas
It assures the designers that someone will be awarded.



So what’s the upside of Guaranteeing a project from the contest holder viewpoint?
The most experienced designers will also submit work to this project
The increase in concepts submission is quite substantial
Designer wont mind providing revisions
The quality of the work provided is substantially higher as designer will be more willing to fully commit to the project


Please keep in mind that preparing a concept takes allot of time, its not like a designer can prepare a custom design in a few hours.
I understand that when a website is the only means of communication between two parties that sometime people need to remind themselves that its real people that is working here, people that are devoting hours and even days of their life working for free just to have a slim chance of having their work awarded.
The minimum that can be asked from the Contest Holder is for the Project to be Guaranteed.

That being said, and as a designer used to do custom work I won’t commit to a project base on a contest where the award isn’t even guaranteed to be delivered to one of the contest participants. I guess you can undertand our point of view.

So the question remains, will you kindly guarantee the project?

Do you only need it designed or do you want it coded aswell?

Sorry, I''m not exactly familiar with how the technology works. The page has to be coded in order for there to be live links on it, correct? We do need to be able to have those.

If someone only designs it for you then you only have a "drawing" of the web page and its not functional.
This is only if you have someone else who is capable of coding it.

I assume you want a finished functional web page, in which case it has to be coded. :)
