Poster Design Brief
We need a poster to promote our theatre show, Ties of Blood: The Brontës. We want an image that is edgy, modern, and hip. The show plays with the contrast between the modern age and the Victorian time period, so a possible design could reflect that. We are looking for an image that is more evocative and abstract, rather than something realistic like a photograph. The play deals with themes of alcoholism, incest, and incorporates the siblings' novels and poetry. We are also using kimonos from Japan so a possible design could also reference art or culture from there, but it must be in a very subtle way. The color red should be incorporated in a very strong way. The font should be very modern and hip.
