Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my new programming tutorial sites. I plan to create several niche blogs and would like a logo that can be themed for each site.

The logo should be easily modified to target the topic of each blog but follow a similar brand/style. I'd also like to be able to change the color of a portion of it for each blog.

For example, I like most of the http://stackexchange.com/about/logos

Simple icon with words that can easily be themed and changed.

My sites will be something similar:

MongoDB Guide
JavaScript Guide
Asp.Net Guide

My two domain names are:
http://NoSqlGuide.com/  - Database technologies like MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase etc.
http://AngularJsGuide.com/ - Guide for the Angular JS framework. (http://angularjs.org/)

Neither site has any content yet but wanted to provide the real names as they may be easier then the JavaScript example I provided.  Feel free to use any of the examples for your logo.  As long as I can edit it to apply to future programming sites then it should be acceptable.
