As an alternate, the coin image can also be abstract or artsy vs. copying the coin photo as is. In the example below, the top row shows the American Numismatic Logo and the coin it was inspired from. Something similar could be done with the silver eagle coin.

NOTE: The design should be 3:2 aspect ratio and the text should still be legible when reduced to as small as 150 wide x 100 high. See typical end use at: facebook.com/silvereaglecoins

UPDATE: Many designers are using the entire coin image which may be difficult to incorporate into a pleasing design. The image of Lady Liberty might work better as a central theme. This image can be found here:

As the contest draws to a close, we wanted to give all designers some feedback...

First of all, we are leaning towards using Lady Liberty as the central design element. The preferred image can be found here:

Also, the words "Silver Eagle Coins" must be included and be legible at all sizes including large (1152 x 768 pixels), medium (680 x 453 pixels), and small (150 x 100 pixels). On the small version, black text and/or slightly larger text might be required.

Finally, a "starburst background" behind Lady Liberty might be desirable. A typical starburst can be found here:
