Web Design Brief

Hi all, I have a client who is looking for a website to promote sponsorship opportunities. He is a professional golfer and would also like a golf themed logo (his name is 'James Sharp').

From his brief here are the details:
-
Layout's i like.

- Ian Poulters website (http://www.ianpoulter.com/)..... Really like the way the home page is split into 6 photos, one for each menu. No text boxes makes it really exciting and colourful.

Like the way it is really interactive, as you hover over each menu it changes to a large version of that photo and becomes brighter.

Using a logo for each menu looks good as well makes it really simple and eye catching. For example the on course option has a golf hole and a flag.

Every page on the website uses a full size background photo which i really like. I dont like pages that are too split up with text boxes etc (lee westwoods (http://www.leewestwood.com/) page for example is too split up).

Like the way the menu drops down the side when you go into one of the pages (the logo's show and the writing comes up when you hover over them.

- Rory mcilroys (http://www.rorymcilroy.com/) page- ........ like the large pictures that rotate through, saying i am an athlete etc.
- Luke Donald's page (http://www.lukedonald.com/)... Again a full size background photo on the home page.

Overview:

Id really like it to be like Ian Poulter's main page, with a photo for each menu option which brings up a new photo when you hover over it. Then a large background photo for each different page when you enter the page. Either that or a large rotating photo box like Rory Mcilroy's page. Not too much writing on the home page, really uncluttered with just the menu options. So a large background photo with the menu options either like Ian Poulter's across the middle or in the top right area of the page.

Site map:
About me- Large background photo, Area for me to write a few paragraphs about myself (preferably over the photo rather than in text box), a box to put my career highlights in on the right hand side (bulletpointed).

Schedule- Large background photo again, A simple table (with venue, date, tour, prize fund, and then a results section). Possible to link each tournament with the official site so people can follow how im doing? e.g. linking my PGA kent open on 28th and 29th april to pga.info site with the live scoring.
///PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR ADDED DETAILS FOR THE RESULTS SECTION

News- Large background photo again. Possible for me to upload articles on myself that may appear or a blog from myself (down the centre of the page).

Sponsorship opportunities/partners- somewhere for me to add the logos of the companies that sponsor me, linked to their site. I am putting together a sponsorship proposal can this be added to the site to be viewed on this page.

Gallery- Like Phil Mickelson's (http://philmickelson.com/) page, all of the thumbnails in a block. Can there be a main image that shows, and then changes as you go through the thumbnails.
-

Thats basically it! Hope everything makes sense. I would like photoshop psd's for the design please also.

Any other questions, please ask away :-)

Many thanks.
Lewis

PS Additional Info -

Firstly James sent a sketch of logo idea he had. This may provide some ideas.

Here is the brief now for the results and schedule page in James's words:
'Can it be set out in a table format, with a large background photo like all the pages. The table needs to have date, venue, tour, and a link to my score if possible. I have photos for each venue if it would be possible to add these in next to each event that would be great if not no big deal.'

An example of the schedule page would be like this: http://pgagbi.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/pgagbi14/chapter/south/schedule/south/index.htm

An example of the results page is here:
http://pgagbi.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/pgagbi14/event/pgagbi14277/contest/1/profile/jsharp34/tresults.htm
-
For the gallery page:
'Gallery-

I would like the gallery to be interactive with a large main photo that rotates every few seconds and an arrow navigation through the photos. With small thumbnails of the next few photos at the bottom, which when clicked on take you to that photo.

If i could also have space for a small thankyou message to the guys company who did the photos for me.'
