We need a logo design for a new company in Chicago called "Aloha". We provide a developmental experience for mothers and their young children ages 0 through 24 months. We want the design to speak to mothers and have an open feeling. This is a service targeting families that make greater than $150k per year and should have a "premium service" feel. This service also has a socially responsible aspect and funds development of young children in disadvantaged communities.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Designers,
We have seen a number of interesting designs. I believe that we want something a little more symbolic and a little less obviously motherly/child. As an example, we really like the simplicity of Toms - www.toms.com.
We will extend the deadline to give time to think a bit differently.
Thank you.

Target Market(s)
Our target customers are mothers, from late twenties to early thirties, who are about to have a baby. These mothers live in suburban towns around cities and really value their social networks and community. We do not want the logo to be so feminine that it excludes fathers and family members.

Requirements
Must have
- We would like a logo that reflects something a bit more modern and less directly tied to Hawaii. We would also like the logo to reflect the social responsibility of the brand. We like the simplicity of the Toms.com logo as an example.
Nice to have
- The logo does not have to directly reflect a physical thing and can be more symbolic.
Should not have
- We do not want the logo to follow the traditional flower type designs that make you think of a Hawaiian vacation.
