Icon Design Brief
I am creating a interactive status board for an office environment that will be displaying status information (vacation, sick, etc.) for the members of the team, two weeks at a time. The board will be a computer monitor mounted on the wall, and the info will be represented graphically. The team members all have Wii-like avatars for heads, and their status will be represented by overlaying their head onto a graphic of the rest of their body. The seven statuses are listed here, along with my first thought as to what their body will be doing to represent that status:
-Vacation: On a beach
-Sick: In a bed
-Business Trip: Flying an airplane
-Bereavement: Carrying a casket
-Working from home: At a computer in the home environment
-Float Day: Body floating in midair
-Time Off in Lieu: Body running away
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create icons to represent these statuses that an avatar head can then be overlayed on and displayed on the status board. Each icon should therefore be of a body with no head. The ideal design should be easy to differentiate from a distance, and either vector-based or high-res enough to be fill 10% of a large television.
I would like to have a few extra alternative icons for some of the items above so that the status board can have a few easter eggs, for example:
-Vacation: On a frozen wasteland (for a cold vacation)
-Working from Home: Naked at a computer (PG, please)
-Business Trip: Taking a train
I also need two additional icons in the same style that represents these two types of days:
-Holiday (either a generic icon that represents a day off for the whole team, or a set of icons that represent our statutory holidays: New Years, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Colonel By Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Boxing Day)
-Sprint Start (a day that signifies that the team is starting a sprint.
These icons will not have heads or bodies in them, but will show special days on the two-week calendar on the status board.

Requirements
Must have
- The background of the icons should be transparent to allow for any background on the status board. The most likely background will be a dark one, so please take that into account.
Nice to have
- The style of the icons should be cartoony or "caricaturey" and be able to match avatar heads similar to Mii's, or XBox avatars. If you think of an alternate way to represent a status, feel free to substitute your design. If your vacation icon screams "vacation", go for it.
Should not have
- Mii bodies (found on the Wii system) are very tubey and shiny, which isn't necessarily a look that I'm fond of.
