Logo Design Brief
The logo is for a group of tour companies in Washington, DC. I need one main logo, for the high end clientele, with the ability to change the name and web site (but keep the design) for a logo for mass consumers.
This will go on business cards, web site, hats, magnetic signs, brochures, etc.
This will be strong, patriotic (USA), official-looking.
PLEASE CHECK OUT THE 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS LOGO DEVELOPED FOR THE AMERICAN NBC NETWORK. Clean, patriotic, though I need something a little stronger/official. Like the juxtaposition of the the iconic buildings 9handrawn with some whimsy) and the colors and banners.
I am including a sketch of what I want. The designer will need to find an appropriate shield for the outline. Perhaps the border should be gold to give it some panache. Maybe some similar clip art would show the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol on the top part. In the middle, on the left and right sides, I have used a fasce (I edited out the blade, which I do not want); the fasce is a key symbol of DC, representing the unity of the states. I included some fleur-de-lis - I wanted something to represent something "high end" - the fleur-de-lis can represent the help of the French in winning the Revolutionary War - I am open to other symbols.
For an updated look, the middle white section can be a banner that wraps around the shield.
At the bottom, I included a floating banner to include two adjectives - expertise and service.
The two doves are the new international symbols of peace; my goal is to have symbols that would appeal to international diplomats - I leave it to your talents to convey this elegently.
Below the logo please include the web site and phone number (see further below)
