Logo Design Brief

Heavenly Android is an online UK shop that specialises in bringing Android smartphones, tablets, gadgets and accessories together under one virtual roof. We aim, besides offering the latest handsets and tablets, to make it as effortless as possible for the consumer to find compatible accessories that will work with their phone / tablet, such as speaker docks.
Bear in mind that the chosen logo will also be used on a sister site; an Android technology blog with news, reviews of products and apps etc. So in essence the logo must be suitable for both a blog and a shop.
The colour scheme of our website consists of a white background with minimal grey and black (menu bars), so whichever colours you choose to use for the logo must work with this. The logo must work in colour or black and white in print.
We want the logo to be resizable but must work with measurements of 224 pixels width / 73 pixels height.
We would like an iconic logo that will be very identifiable with the Android brand, ie Andy the Android robot.
The font has to look clean and unfussy. We would like you to avoid using the official Android font as this is already overused. Whether there is a space between the two words is entirely up to what you think will work best creatively.
The Android robot does not have to be the official green colour, think of the word 'Heavenly' and what that says to you. Wings or a halo may be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the word 'heavenly', but perhaps try to think more imaginatively. Whatever you decide, make it abstract, iconic and definitely not cheesy.
We do not, however, want the robot to be flat and lifeless, rather 3D or completely abstract as long as he is recognisable and has personality.
Our target audience are mostly male, between the ages of 17 - 40, so it is very important that the logo appeals to this demographic.

Please could you ensure that the Android is included somehow within this logo, it is important that it is very obvious that we are an 'Android' centric company. Could you make sure that colours chosen will stand out on a multitude of backgrounds, both dark and light.

Hi to all. We've had quite a few designers accept our project and we look forward to seeing their designs as they come in. We are also happy with some extremely good quality designs that we have already received.
However, we asked for your take on our project requirements and gave a few examples of depicting the word heavenly. All of the designs have followed us to the tee, an Android with halo and wings.
We asked you to think of what our logo design brief means to you and put your own take on this. Heavenly Android could, for example, also despict an Android sitting on a cloud.
We are not asking for the wings and halos to cease, simply for other ideas to be given a chance.
We look forward to seeing what you have to offer.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We have extended the deadline as we would like to give the designers that have accepted our project chance to submit.
We have already got a few designs that we are quite pleased with but we have not made a final decision. By extending the deadline, we are also giving the designers who have already submitted chance to make any tweaks and revisions we have requested.
