Logo Design Brief
We are relaunching our company, SilverSeeker, with a new name : ConnectAround. We are a fun, active, simple, and safe social network for individual retirement communities so that people 55 and over can enjoy the beneits of online connection like everyone else.
We don't want to sound "senior" or "old" so that's why we changed our name to ConnectAround - it can apply to anyone even though we are targeting them. The logo pertains to creating new connections in your immediate neighoborhood or area - AROUND the neighborhood, the golf course, wherever - just not far away. Users are encouraged to take these online connections offline and in person to remain active in retirement.
Our brand's personality includes the following: Active, enthusiastic, simple, slightly flirty, excited to be retired, modern, take privacy very seriously, trustworthy
We believe we are unique because of the following:
1) We believe retirement is a blessing, not a curse.
2) We’ve built something for active adults vs. the others that have built something for teenagers and then tried to get active adults to use it.
3) It’s peer to peer and we focus on a happy, healthy life. We do not remind the users that they are aging. We bring the fun.
We are targeting people in the middle to middle upper class USA demographic that are over the age of 55 and do or want to remain active - meaning play games, go to parties, golf, travel, engage, date, etc.
As the company that utilizes online technology to allow them to be active and involved in their community offline. We also need to be perceived as very trustworthy and that we care a lot about their privacy.
The three most important things we need to communicate are : privacy, simplicity, and purposeful tools. The voice should be flirty and approachable. Other words that describe us are : Secure
