Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new company in the UK. The company works in the Fire and Security industry. They are involved in fire detection, building security and access etc.

The logo will need to be rectangular rather than square so that it can be used on a web site banner without too much height.

The client only likes sans-serif fonts.

We have discussed a few ideas with the client and believe we need a simple image element and the text. We have looked at the idea of using a shield or a circle or arc (encompassing or as an umbrella).

The name Ardent should be the main part with Fire and (&) Security Ltd smaller and perhaps below the main name.
