Web Design Brief

** Depending on the designs received next week, we may commit to the project and raise the budget. This project is too supply only the PSD files**

Introduction:
Serena Australia located in Bunbury, Western Australia is looking for a new, freshly designed modern and clean website that must (strictly) incorporate their colour scheme (as per logo colours). Serana Australia supplies animal sera, media and reagents to a unique group of clients such as universities and the biopharmaceuticals industries.

What we need:
The website will contain information about the company (staff, company info, awards and certifications, laboratories info, services, contact us page, News page, Faq page, downloads etc…), a shopping cart (for approx. 100 items which is not going to be the predominant factor for this website) and Technical reports (for specific product batches which needs to be searched by batch number. Each batch we do is tested) – which are uploaded as pdf’s. The website will also need to contain the legal documents (such as Privacy Statement and Terms of use).
All of these pages will be edited through our own content management system we have developed.

Although this website sells products, the shopping cart or ability to purchase should not dominate the site. The products are only suitable to a small group of people and very targeted audience. It is most likely that the people purchasing are familiar with our business and do not require "featured products" or "buy now" buttons.

Supported Devices:
The design must be able to be mobile friendly (accommodate smart phone devices including Apple and Samsung devices) as well as Tablet Friendly and all the latest browsers.

Design:
The fonts must be xHTML friendly and everything needs to be W3C compliant. This means, do not use fonts which is not from the google web font range or, not a standard system font. We do not want fonts saved as an image. Exceptions made for the logo.
You must make use of the colours which are in the logo.
You must not alter, invert or change colours of the logo.
You must make change the logo fonts or change the position of the text in the logo.
Designs submitted to us must follow the above criteria otherwise designs can be knocked back.

Social Media:
At this stage, we do not require any Facebook, twitter, rss feeds or LinkedIn icons

What must be provided?:
A designed front page
A designed inner page
A designed version of an item page (for the shopping cart)
We require only a layered version of the Photoshop file with the list of fonts used. We will look after the chopping up of PSD to XHTML format. This job is only for the graphics.
Each page must flow nicely and make use of the colour schemes.

Future Ideas:
The website must be able to be multilingual supported

Similar Websites:
The customer has given us a competitor’s website. This is not a design which they like but simply provided to give the designer has understanding of how the competitor’s websites is operated and basically the information on this website will be similar website.
