Logo Design Brief

We are building a product that creates a social layer on top of the web..

- Who else is looking at this page now?
- What do these other people think about this car/jacket/video/song/etc ?
- Where did people go next after coming here?
- People who liked this page also liked which other pages?
- Who out there likes the exact same pages as me?
- What pages have Anna and I both visited or liked?

Answers to these types of questions will form the basis of the network. User interaction will move from the confines of social networking sites, to the four corners of the web. The millions of movements of web surfers will become visible and delineate a new map of the web, hitherto determined by the website owners through hyperlinks.

We need a logo that will be used in the product itself, on our website, and in the launch video that will be released in a few weeks.

The only text that needs to appear is the product name which is MetaWeb. You may experiment with different capitalization styles (metaweb, Metaweb, etc...) and you may also separate Meta/Web and move them around. A simple stylized object (cloud, web, etc) accompanying the text might also work, but not mandatory.


Logo style:

- Simple
- Modern

Ideas potentially conveyed by Logo (I realize this may be impossible and you may decide not to include any, but keep in mind) :

- Product makes the web more dynamic, social and fun
- Product is anonymous (no real identities, just usernames)

I have included some screenshots of the product running to give you an idea of its design style. Note the contrast between the web (usually white) and MetaWeb (dark) when it slides up. You may want to use this theme in your logo design.

• We will need the vector version of the logo from the winner

Nice to have

• Something that would work on both dark and light backgrounds would be good.
  
  Dark for the product, Light for our website.
  
  If the design does not scale well to very small sizes, then it would be good to have a special small version that we can use for icons.
