Logo Design Brief

We are a homewares/lifestyle store that is modern, casual, and nautical themed. We will have clothes, homewares and childrens items so it will need reach all types of customers.
I have in mind a tattoo looking banner with the words "Squid & Fancy" or "Squid and Fancy" and a squid peeping out from behind or over the scroll somewhere. I intend to use the logo as a sticker on the front window so it will need to be inviting, interesting and fun and clearly show the name while still being able to see into the store.
I would like the colours to be kept to a minimum with maybe a inky blue/black and cream/white scheme.
