Please keep the design to white writing on the black background. i think it looks best like that :)

As for the crown of thorns.. very creative but not the look im going for.
perhaps try these 2 options to see how they look:
- Try the same shape as the halo but much smaller so as to be the dot over the ''i'' and with the
    middle filled in so its not a ring but a solid oval shape.
- Try something possibly completely different. Think in terms of maybe an object or shape or image 
    that possibly could even be used as a stand alone emblem that, when people see it, 
    it would immediately be associated with ''saints health & fitness''. 
    For example, the ''tick'' with nike. or the big golden ''M'' for macdonalds, 
    or the red and blue circle for pepsi.
