I think it is an interesting first pass but I may update my description to include the following statements which would be helpful for you:

1. Of the name EPS-Cineworks, Cineworks is the bigger brand. EPS may go away over time - so less emphasis on EPS - or slightly more weight to Cineworks.

2. We are interested in a logo that doesn't necessarily include the name or letters, but something that is visually recognizable from a design perspective to which we can include the name or not as needed.

Does this help? I like the concept of newness by rising out of, birthing, etc. as long as we don't get the sense of rising out of the ashes... ;)
