Packaging Design Brief

Need packaging for a range of new health bars.
4 different types, 24 flavours (just submit a single bar or two)
I want all the bars to look basically the same (different types can have a text colour change or strip and flavours can have different images).

Need a striking design to compete against other similar bars on the shelves of health food stores.

Our biggest competitor would be www.questnutrition.com who has similar bars (ingredients)

I have included a design that I made to show an example (Jpg attached). You can either submit new designs or use the same concept and alter what you think will work to make the range stand out from the other similar bars on health food shop shelves. Required information text is also shown such as ‘sugar free’ etc.

I also need a design for the display/packaging boxes (Example in Pdf attached)

A template is attached for reference and to be used for the successful designs final print ready design only (shows size). The easy peel strip should be able to be moved left or right but not up or down.
I have also attached a Pdf with the flavours listed and sample images for reference only, plus a Pdf with other bar designs already on the market.

Printing is going to be on silver foil so that can be used as part pf the design effect.

In case it makes a difference -
Printing is to be done via Gravure (rotogravure) method.
Each cylinder has the ability to print 8 designs in the same colour (width allows for 8 templates).
Each cylinder obviously incurs an additional cost so colours should be limited where possible but only if it doesn't affect quality.
I think its usually 5-8 colours max for this type of print.

Designer will be provided with further work for promotional items including floor displays, posters, flyers and shirts etc.

My logo is also attached but it isn't important to make it stand out so long as the bars can be identified with a name.
