Logo Design Brief

I am the new owner of a small motel / motor inn situated on the coast of mid north NSW in Australia. The small quiet coastal town is a tourist destination where people come to relax or holiday at the beach, to play golf, to go fishing / boating, go canoeing, to spend summer holidays with family. The town is surrounded by beaches, a national park and a marine park, and is on a river. There is a lot of wildlife including dolphins, koalas, birds, pelicans.
I would like my logo to convey the bright colours of the sea and the realxing outdoor atmosphere of the area. It should include the words Hawks Nest Motel.
I am adding the abstract logo style to the brief, because although I really like a lot of the designs that been submitted I feel they are a little too picture like, and I can see I would prefer something a little more abstract, but I do still require the words "Hawks Nest Motel included".
The use of a pelican abstractly is appropriate as there are many close by the motel. Thank you all for the submissions so far, I am excited and pleased with the reults so far.

Target Market(s)

My target customers are a variety of couples, young families, retired people, singles travelling in groups, travelling business people, who are looking for an ecoomical but friendly, clean and comfortable accommodation.
