Logo Design Brief

DeeJBase.com is a DJ database and social networking tool to be used by young adults living in the metropolitan area with an interest in live dance music. The site is used by the general public as a way of finding talented DJs in the NYC area.

What I need from you?
An artistic, unique, professional-looking design that coordinates with the homepage mock-up which is attached and could be placed in that top upper-left corner. I want it to be something that if I made it into a sticker, a DJ might want to put it on the front of their laptops for their audience to see. Also note I own "DeeJbase.com" and not "DJBase.com," so I do want the "ee" part incorporated in the logo, but some people read this as "deege base" when written in free text. I want to make sure when people look at the logo they think of D.J. as opposed a random made up word. Hopefully that make sense, but let me know if you have questions. Also I wrote in the logo text box I'd like the logo to read "DeeJBase.Com" but the ".com" part may not be necessary.

Who I'm targeting?
1. Up-and-Coming DJs: If you are a DJ, you can use the site to update venues you will be at on any given night of the week.
Ensure wider audiences who may actually be there to see you and hopefully get noticed by music lovers and venue owners and (if you’re good), get hired to play at more exclusive lounges and clubs.
2. Party-Goers or "Users": See which DJs will be at a given venue on
any given night. See how highly that DJ is rated by other users or
just more generally, what kind of music he/she spins and if that
matches with the kind of night you want to have and the kind of music you like. Make a decision on where to go out based on this
information. Once you a see a DJ, rate their performance.
